Estrella Media announced that it has launched Estrella News, a 24-hour multiplatform news network, making it the first Spanish-language media company in the U.S. to provide news content in live digital and streaming format 24/7.

In an effort to expand its news content beyond its established television and radio broadcasting capacity, Estrella Media recently launched its multiplatform news channel, which will be available on all major OTT platforms and online environments, as well as the company’s digital .2 subchannels, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Estrella News debuted this week on FOX Entertainment’s free streaming service Tubi and will appear soon on the Roku Channel and Samsung’s TV Plus, as well as other digital networks as Estrella Media widens its distribution reach.

“During such an unprecedented time, we were inspired to launch the first-ever Spanish-language 24/7 news portal in the U.S. and to partner with Tubi; this undoubtedly marks a new chapter in the history of Spanish-language news media,” stated Peter Markham, CEO, Estrella Media. “Estrella News will provide the best and most relevant Spanish-language news content to the U.S. Hispanic audience, ensuring our communities will have easy access to breaking news on any device, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

This new digital network grid will consist of local, national, entertainment and sports news segments, all produced in-house by some of the best journalists and media professionals in the industry. Estrella Media is committed to bringing excellence in the newsroom with local news in Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and Miami, featuring the best team of on-the-ground media professionals who are in tune with the local communities they serve. The local news segments will offer the most relevant and current news and the highest level of journalism standards in news production.

On the national front, Estrella News will feature a team of dedicated journalists across the U.S. and Latin America, which includes the only network news program in Spanish-language prime time and the first to present the critical issues affecting the community with the latest newsworthy events from the United States, Mexico, Central and South America. In addition, this new multiplatform network will also offer a live two-hour morning news show, which will deliver fast-paced, informative news presented in a light, upbeat manner with segments including breaking news, special series, entertainment stories, weather, sports and local coverage.

Estrella News will also benefit from Estrella Media’s stellar entertainment production team, which has built its reputation on breaking some of the hottest Latin entertainment news stories in the United States, Mexico and the rest of the Americas. Estrella Media is an undisputed leader in entertainment news coverage with a team comprised of some of Latin entertainment’s top media influencers.
