Latin sensation Son By Four, nominated in seven categories, has been added to the list of performers set to take the stage for the "Heineken en Vivo" Presents Billboard Latin Music Awards Show at Miami Beach's Jackie Gleason Theater of Performing Arts on April 26. The Spanish-language Telemundo Network will air the event as a special on April 29 at 8:00p.m. (ET/PT).

Juan Manuel Cardona, "Juan Diablo" from the hit novela "Por Que Diablos," co-hosts this year's award show along with previously announced hosts Candela Ferro, co-anchor of "Ocurrio Asi," and Jorge Enrique Abello, "Don Armando" from "Betty la Fea." Paying homage to the remarkable year in Latin music and celebrating the genre's explosive growth and commercial success, the star- studded affair will also feature recently added performances by MDO, Luis Fonsi, Grupo Limite, Lupillo Rivera, Banda El Recodo, Alejandro Sanz, Ricardo Montaner and OV7.

Joining the all-star line-up to present awards in 29 categories will be Marc Anthony, Shalim, Willy Chirino, Lissette Alvarez, Jose Maria Yazpik and Jose Angel Llamas from Telemundo's hit novela "Cara O Cruz," Noelia, Millie Corretjer and Graciela Beltran. Other celebrity presenters include Paola Rey and Victor Mallarino from the successful novela "La Baby Sister," Yolanda Rayo, Mario Duarte from the winning novela "Betty La Fea," and Catherine Siachoque from "Amantes del Desierto."*

Legendary Tito Puente will be honored with a special tribute that evening, along with Latin music pop sensation and novela diva Thalia, who will also be honored with the distinctive Billboard "Premio de la Estrella" award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the world of Latin music.

The only show of its kind, the Billboard Latin Music Awards is an annual event, honoring the year's biggest and brightest stars. Finalists for the awards ceremony are chosen based on their performances on Hot Latin Tracks and The Billboard Latin 50 charts, which comprise airplay and sales. The measuring period for the nominee selection is January 30, 2000, to January 29, 2001.

The Billboard Music Awards Show caps Billboard's Latin Music Conference, presented by Heineken and in association with HBO, which will be held April 24-26 at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach.
