Adolfo Aguilar, Jr., president/CEO, and Gisela Girard, chief operating officer, and co-owners of Creative Civilization ­ An Aguilar Agency, have been named to the advisory committee of "Latino USA", the Radio Journal of News and Culture, which is distributed by National Public Radio (NPR).

Aguilar is a nationally recognized leader in the advertising and marketing industry. His firm, Creative Civilization, is a full-service advertising and marketing communications agency specializing in both the general market and Hispanic market, and is based in San Antonio, Texas. Aguilar is Chairman of the Presidents' Council and immediate past president of the Association of the Hispanic Advertising Agencies (AHAA). He is also the founding Chairman of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA), Hispanic Committee.

"'Latino USA' serves an important role of communicating the importance and vitality of the Latino population to new audiences," said Aguilar. "I am proud of our culture and of the quality of the 'Latino USA' program."

Gisela Girard has more than twenty years of marketing experience and oversees the agency's operations, public relations and media relations functions. Girard serves as Chairperson of the San Fernando Cathedral Architect Selection Committee, Steering Committee of the San Fernando City Centre Capital Campaign, as a Co-chair of the American Cancer Society Hispanic Leadership Workgroup, Member of National Hispanic Development Center Hispanic Advisory Board, as a board member of Blue Star Contemporary Art Space, a board member of the Mexican American Cultural Center (MACC), a Say Sí board member and as a founding member and board member of the Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA).

"As firm believers and enthusiasts of cultural and artistic expression, we want to take part in 'Latino USA' because of its mission to develop and enhance these aspects of the Latino community," said Girard.

"Latino USA" http://www.latinousa.org is the only English-language national radio program produced from a Latino Perspective. This unique 30-minute weekly show includes news, public affairs and cultural programs. "Latino USA" is a
nonprofit partnership of KUT Radio and the Center of Mexican American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.

"Latino USA" strives to provide diverse audiences with multiple perspectives on issues affecting Latinos, to foster cross-cultural understanding, to enhance relationships among Latino communities and to illuminate the richness of Latino cultural and artistic expression. Its program, its executive producer and its host have won over 20 prestigious national awards from the communications industry for journalistic and production excellence.
