The Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) Miami chapter announced its Board of Directors for 2019. Now in its fifth year, the HPRA Miami chapter counts with 11 communications professionals dedicated to bringing value and networking opportunities to the Hispanic PR community.

The Culture Marketing Council: The Voice of Hispanic Marketing (CMC in partnership with has announced the jury for the 2019 Culture Account Planning Excelencia (CAPE) awards, the only award of its kind that honors multicultural account planning, the strategic bedrock of any successful marketing campaign. Winners will showcase their campaigns during a special CAPE session at the CMC Annual Summit on Tuesday, June 11 at the Statler Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

The Culture Marketing Council: The Voice of Hispanic Marketing (CMC) announced the 2019 inductees of the CMC Hall of Fame, which recognizes a select group of visionaries, leaders and luminaries who have made significant contributions to the development and advancement of the Hispanic advertising and marketing field. Sponsored by State Farm, the CMC Hall of Fame welcomes agency pioneers and creative mavens Al Aguilar, Tony Dieste, Alex Lopez Negrete, Luis Miguel Messianu, and Ingrid Otero-Smart. All inductees will be recognized during an awards gala at the 2019 CMC Annual Summit, taking place on Tuesday, June 11, at the Statler Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

The Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) voted to elect Andy Checo of Havas FORMULATIN, president of the HPRA Executive Board. Checo, who has been part of the organization for almost a decade and has served as president of the organization’s New York chapter as well as president of the Executive board in 2015, will serve in the role through the end of 2020.  Sonia V. Diaz of Miami-based Balsera Communications will serve as president-elect for 2021.

Del Fa will work closely with the CMC’s governing bodies, committees and the executive director to support the organization’s strategic plan, which champions the quality of Hispanic marketing in the U.S., focusing on the value of culture-driven segmentation and elevating the critical role of the culture marketing specialist.
