Telemundo celebrates the highly anticipated return of NFL football this fall with “NFL Kickoff 2013”, a 30-minute special that provides a sneak peek at what football fans can expect this season.

Nielsen Holdings, N.V.  announced that it has agreed to extend the period for regulatory review of the Arbitron transaction into September.  The regulatory process continues to progress and Nielsen continues to be confident in the ultimate outcome.

MTV Tr3s announced a new programming slate.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that Karl Penhaul and Carlos Villalon have joined the Univision News team as special foreign correspondents in conflict zones around the world. Penhaul and Villalon will report for all Univision News platforms.
 

Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) announced that Sarah Madigan has been promoted to the newly created position of executive vice president of Content Distribution.

Tr3s announced the debut of its new celeb-driven reality Cena de Estrellas starring Daddy Yankee, Eiza Gonzalez, Gerardo Ortiz and 3BallMTY.

Mark Lima has been named Fusion's Vice President of News. For the last few months Mark has worked closely with ABC News. A 25-year news veteran, Mark was most recently part of the team at “Nightline”.  
  

Estrella TV continues to grow its affiliation line-up by adding KZAK-TV (Boise, Idaho) and renewing KMBY-TV (Monterey, California). Both local stations are owned and operated by Cocola Broadcasting, one of the first station groups to sign with Estrella TV as part of its launch.

Telemundo Station Group announced that it has completed the acquisition of its Philadelphia affiliate, WWSI-TV (Channel 49), from ZGS Communications.

MundoFox announced that “El Factor X” will premiere on Monday July 29th. Following the massive success of “The X Factor” in the U.S. and around the world, this original Spanish-language version will feature young contestants from 8 to 15 years old and will give U.S. Latino viewers the opportunity to choose the next young Latino superstar or breakout music group.

HBO Latin America announced the creation of a panregional Advertising Sales team for Cinemax that will be based in Miami, and operate under the leadership of Gabriel Diaz. Gabriel will report directly to Renata da Conceição.

The Univision Network has been honored with two Bronze Tellys in the 34th Annual Telly Awards for the network’s specials titled, "Educando Contra el Peligro" (Learning About the Danger) and “Navidad Con los Nuestros: Tony Bennett y Sus Amigos” (Christmas with Us: Tony Bennett and His Friends).
